Welcome to the Viking Knit A Long Gallery. This Gallery will follow our year-long progress in the making of an afghan from Elsbeth Lavold's "Viking Knitting" . In this book Elsbeth has taken various knot work from museum pieces, then recreated knitting techniques to make it possible to knit (cable) these pieces. So, from out of the museums, and into our homes.....
